Ruminating the 11th Hour

Sam’s breath warmed the interior of her suit’s helmet a moment before the air circulation kicked on. She could hear her parent’s voices come over the speakers again, muffled and nearly inaudible, as the HUD visuals on the graphene glass shimmered to life. Sam fumbled suit covered fingers on the buttons on her forearm trying to activate the external audio transmitters.

“Where…” Sam growled, “Where is it?!” She didn’t have a chance to find it as the atmosphere in her home rushed out towards the opening corridor door, dragging her along with it.
